‘Tis the season to shed those layers and show a little skin, and where better to do so than at some of New York’s buzziest new haunts? Whether you’re stepping out with your posse for a much-needed wild night, or plan on romancing your boo with sexy sips in an even sexier atmosphere, these trending destinations are sure to check all the boxes. We mean, if you’re going to go all out with your Fleur ensemble, you’ll obviously want to see and be seen.
Step 1: Snag that Resy
Step 2: Raid your wardrobe
Step 3: See you there!
Holiday Bar
The shameless excess and glamour of New York in the 1980s has returned at Holiday Bar, our favorite new eatery-slash-lounge in the West Village. Mirrored accents and tubular booths flesh out the retro ambiance, making it an ideal spot to flirt over playfully suggestive “Porn Star” Martinis while basking in the glow of a neon Narcissus. Munch on a selection of sensuous seafood, from oysters to spicy tuna to lobster-filled pasta, and don’t forget to strike a pose worthy of a grid post. This is one spot you’ll definitely want to show off on the ‘gram.
Bad Roman
Italian decadence and maximalist decor come together at this Instagram hot spot located in Columbus Circle. If you and your crew are in the market for an especially #extra girls’ night out, Bad Roman has you covered on every front. The expansive space is dotted with curvy orange banquettes, trompe l’oeil mosaics, and luscious greenery, all of which sets the scene for an over-the-top feast featuring petite steak filettos, caviar gnocchi, and a whole roasted lobster filled with Calabrian campanelle. If there were ever a spot to channel your inner Italian siren à la Sophia Loren, this is it.
Silver Lining Lounge
From pop tunes to sultry croons, you’ll want to sing along at the glitzy Silver Lining Lounge, which recently debuted at the Moxy Lower East Side Hotel. The ultra swanky piano bar certainly lives up to its name with marble and metallic touches complementing its rich blue velvet furnishings. For a touch of old school romance, post up with your partner over flickering candlelight and indulge in some classic cocktails and elevated light bites, all paired with quite a show. What can we say? Music will always put us in the mood.
Loosie’s
Conveniently located at the very same address as Silver Lining, Loosie’s is the Moxy Hotel’s underground den of delightful dance floor debauchery. If you’re craving a models-and-bottles situation that’ll have you getting sweaty into the wee hours, this is your spot. The scene recalls the grit-and-glamour of downtown in the ‘80s, so you know you’re in for a memorable night. Pull out your most party-ready look and prepare to groove beneath the epic canopy of disco balls while rubbing elbows with some of the city’s most beautiful patrons. Get loose baby.
Jac’s on Bond
A posh spot that’s perfectly suited for both after-work drinks and after-dark dates, Jac’s on Bond marries elegance with edginess inside a historic 1831 townhouse in Noho. The subterranean watering hole is decked out in sleek black-and-beige accents, but shakes things up with its display of hip-hop photography and scene-stealing pool table, where the cool kids tend to congregate as the hours tick on. Whatever the occasion, don’t miss their signature Caprese Martini, made with a splash of balsamic vinegar and topped with a cherry tomato. It’s giving Bond Girl, with a twist.
The Mulberry Bar
When a turn on the dance floor is on the agenda, look no further than The Mulberry Bar. The stylish downstairs haunt is already a favorite of celebrities (including one Mr. Leo DiCaprio) due to its intimate size and clandestine “Whisper Room,” which offers even more privacy behind a heavy curtain. If you want to see and be seen, however, sidle up to the marble bar for cocktails and caviar service, or cozy up in one of the plush banquettes in the back, located just off the dance floor. With nightly DJs and a lively crowd, The Mulberry - and its glittering disco ball - is calling your name.
Caviar Kaspia
Forget your passport at home? You can take a trip to Paris without leaving Manhattan at the brand new outpost of French favorite Caviar Kaspia at The Mark Hotel. From their coveted baked potatoes overflowing with caviar to those sumptuous emerald green mohair banquettes, lavish is surely an understatement when it comes to dinner here. Outfit-wise, this moment calls for sexy sophistication – and the attitude to match. When you’re feasting on expensive blinis and all-caviar-everything, you’ve simply got to radiate some of that chic Parisian je ne sais quoi.
